Bexhill Sailing Club is offering the opportunity to anyone who has little or no experience of sailing dinghies but wants to get out onto the water to see if learning to sail is for them. The session is being held on Saturday, 13th May from 12 noon onwards.
There is no charge for the session. To register to take part, you must complete this application form and return it to the Club before Sunday, 7th May else we may not be able to accommodate you. The Club is open at weekends when sailing is taking place.
Please place the forms in the Sail Training postbox in the foyer, or through the letterbox if the Club is closed.
During the session you will be taken afloat by an experienced sailor in a two-person sailing dinghy for about 20-30 minutes. A safety boat will be in attendance while you are afloat. You must be prepared to get wet and potentially enter the water so you will need to bring with you a change of clothes and old trainers that you don’t mind getting wet. Please also bring a towel so that you can have a shower afterwards if you wish and a black bin liner to put your wet clothes in. We will provide you with a buoyancy aid to wear while you are afloat.
Tea, coffee and cake will be available following your sail.
This offer is made subject to sea and weather conditions prevailing on the day and availability of places and boats.
