Where was the wind?
On Saturday , with the tides it was an early evening race , and rather unexciting conditions that stirred a small flotilla to the water. Tony Lane and Hanna Boston’s Dart 16A lead Ben Cole’s Sprint, in the Cat’s. Malcolm Brookes , Comet , lead Richard Bratton , Europe , slow fleet and Bob Palmer lead Zac Horsley , Laser Radials in the fast fleet.
Eve Fifield , Laser 4.7, represented the cadets
On Sunday the tides dictated an 8.30 start for the Early Worm series , but even less wind. Several boats did not finish , and that left the Laser Radials of Bob Palmer , Eve Fifield and Rick Palmer to cross the line in that order.
