I speak as a fellow club member as well as Commodore, representing all our members.
Butch has been an important, personable and lively member of the club for many years, and he will be sorely missed. Always friendly and helpful. He regularly took full benefit of the Club’s facilities, on and off the water, and noticeably from the water when capsized. The ability of Butch and you, Tim, to actually get round a course was always a benchmark for less capable sailors, as well as entertainment for all, chasing or alongside Dusty and Andy, you both tasselling with Spinnakers.
Bexhill Sailing Club sends our heart felt condolences at this sad time.
Kind regards
John Stebbing
Commodore, B S C .
