Description

RYA Level 2 Powerboat Handling – 26th September and 10th October

£110 for club members, £350 for non-members (please contact tech@bexhillsailing.club if you are not a member and wish to book).

This two-day, entry level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat. It focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and the collision regulations. Also useful for understanding the requirements for crewing on the Club’s range of Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs).

Note: You DO NOT need to have completed Level 1 Start Powerboating.

Level 2 Powerboat Handling is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence (ICC) for which you can apply to the RYA (for coastal waters and powered craft up to 10m length).

Please note: Enrolment forms and payment of the full course fee must be completed by Sunday 20th September. Regrettably if sufficient students have not enrolled by then, the course may be cancelled and refunds given.

Course will be held at Bexhill Sailing Club over two days.
